Hi Sheila,

I don't have it but my Mom has had it for years. She had it really bad when she was in her late 40's I had to help her get dressed. She used to get gold injections and that helped. Now she takes methotrexate (sp?) and that helps her ALOT. I will be praying for relief from pain and discomfort for you and for wisdom for the doctors.

I have it and it can be very painful. I don't do a thing for it and haven't been to the doctor in ages. Yes, I know that I am bad. But I am the one who has to live with it and I don't care.

They say I have that and fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome...but I don't know! I just try to take care of myself and do what I can ! It can hurt very badly and it isn't easy all the time. I don't do much except try to keep the weight down, stretch as much as I can and eat right.. eating right for some reason helps me alot. I am actually needing pain meds for it but I don't have insurance so I am waiting til' I get some. I feel for you and you are in my prayers!

Brooke, you told me you are in Natures Sunshine, what have you tried for all of this? We usually have good results with these. You can email me privately if you want. RA is autoimmune. CFS can be too. I just wondered if you have been on a program for it.

You know; when we have so many other things wrong with us ; it is really hard to know what to do
I have been told I have fibro too and arithiris plus the Cf stuff too
Is it a wonder we are so tired and in pain all the time
I find the old standard ben-gay to help
I use the new kind especially in the winter time
I need a longer arm though.
I have short arms and it is hard to reach places lol. hugs sheila

I have heard cherries and cherry juice do wonders for this. I would try buying a bottle of cherry juice and drinking a glass once a day for a week or two and see if you notice a reduction of pain. I've hears some people swear by this.

I hope you gals bear with me. I have spent so much of my life in the field of natural health and it is so hard sometimes to keep my mouth shut. So if I spout off and you are not interested please just ignore me.

RA is an autoimmune problem one where the immune system is over sensitive and attacks the body cells. One thing you do not want to do is stimulate the immune system as this is like throwing gas on the fire. But there are immune modulators that turn down the self attacking side and turn up the appropriate response. I have an auto immune problem myself and it nearly destroyed my ability to do my business some years back. What I took (and I am just telling you what I took) was colostrum. I guess a farmgirl could get it from the cow/ goat whatever...I took it in pill form. It sure did help me.

Now about the cherry juice...so many illnesses occur because we are too acid. We need to be more alkaline. All of the itises come from an acid terrain in the body. What do I mean itises? ArthrITIS, bursITIS, sinusITIS and so on come from too much acidity in the body. The miracle cures that people find are things that alkalize and lower acid levels. Cherry juice, apple cider vinegar (another thread going on MJF). Used to be alfalfa was a big cure all- same purpose. Do an internet search for Alkalizing foods they will also list acid foods check to see which is your diet. You can make changes in your diet that will make a huge difference. Eating high acid foods is like throwing gas on the fire too. the acid reflux is also a sign. In my opinion, what is needed for acid reflux is a change to a more alkalizing diet and digestive enzymes. Not acid blockers, just my opinion. Oh, gosh, girls I have lots of opinions. One is there is hardly any health condition that we cannot make better if we help our body get back to balance. Everyday that we live and every breath we take our body is building new cells. In two years every cell in our heart will be new from the ones we have right this minute. In a year every skin cell is replaced. And so on. If you decide that every cell will be healthier than the last and feed you body right and take care of it, nurture it then you are on your way.

I kinda got on the health preaching thing before and I am not going to argue it this time. Just had to give my opinion. Thanks for reading and maybe it will help someone out there.
