I have made butter. I bought a 1/2 gallon of heavy cream at Costco to make some ice cream. I made a few batches and froze 4 cups for future ice cream use and made butter with the rest in the food processor. Easy and yummy.
I DID catch myself licking the spatula after I packed it...and then I realized, that tasty or not I was just eating straight butter! I have to make something to shmear it on for dinner!
Butter is my fat of choice. After that, Lard. Olive oil is OK but only if you are trying to be trindy. Thanks Joyce for reminding me that I have corn on the cob in the shop fridge.
Hey Roxy, How did you make your ice cream... I would love to get the ice cream machine that you don't have to freeze the canister. But they are soooo expensive.
