I thought you all would enjoy this with me....Lately I've been gone too much to take my last load of laundry off the line, (been there since Friday) and finally got around to it this morning. I pull off a pair of my jeans and tried to fold them but something wasn't right...So I looked and low and behold there was the makings of a birds nest in the seat of my pants! ~Don't ignore your laundry! LOL

Oh too cute! LOL I had mourning doves make a nest in my clothes pin bag on the line once. Rather than ruin the nest I let them have it and watched as the little dove hatched, grew. My kids and I really enjoyed watching. It was worth the loss of my bag and pins.

This post got my attention because I have a cardinal momma in one of our redtips that I cut down to about five foot tall. She built the nest about four foot off the ground and when I go out there she just looks up at me unless I get too close, then she leaves for a few minutes. My husband forgot she was there this morning an put the sprinkler on and when I realized it I ran to check on her. She was sitting there protecting her eggs with water just pouring off her. I moved the sprinker and told him he was going to be in the dog house if he did that again. He said he forgot, then he thought about it for a moment and said, what do you think they do when it rains. Oh, well my mother instinct came out I guess.
I hope my some of my grandkids get to come see the babies before they grow up and fly away.

I've had birds start nests in hats left sitting out for too long, ( ballcaps and cowboy), also we had a little banty game hen build a nest in a boot that was laying on its side.

Hahahaha! That is a great story. All I ever get in my laundry if I leave it out too long is bugs!

Ohhh, before reading your post I had just read Nancy Jo's about "I'm naked under my dress", so my mind automatically went somewhere else !!! Sorry ! Guess my mind was in the wrong place since it's swimsuit season and I've had to "trim" things up a bit.
