A little 10 year old girl has come up missing in a town just a few miles from me. She was walking 4 blocks home from her friends and never made it. This is a very small town - about 1200 residents I believe and the route between her friend and her house is right past the police station. Please say a prayer for this family that she comes home safe and sound.

| I can hardly read this title without my heart pounding. I pray this little girl will be returned unharmed. It is my absolute worst nightmare as a mother and grandmother. I guess it hasn't made national news , because we haven't heard about it here yet. Praying! |

I'm not that far from you in Washington and either I've missed any news casts, or there haven't been any. I'm surprised we haven't seen an Amber Alert...I can't imagine what her parents are going through. And the rest of the community...I don't think I would let my girls out of my site, and they're teenagers!

It just makes my stomach do flip flops when I hear the helicopter overhead, back and forth all day. We drove over there last night to go to the grocery store and there were people all out in the street stopping cars, asking if anyone had seen her and giving everyone a flyer.There wasn't any Amber Alert because they don't do one if no one sees the child picked up - no suspect car. There's going to be a vigil tomorrow night at 9 pm, Pacific time, if she hasn't been found. Please say a prayer around that time if you can. I'll post a link to a current news story.

Day 5 today and still no sign of her. The news today said they have brought in an expert in missing children who says most likely it had to be someone who knew her that picked her up. Today they are searching near my house and it's chilling to hear the planes overhead. We live at the base of a wooded hill and I think they must be concentrating on those woods today. Hope grows dimmer each day, but please keep this little one in your prayers til we know what happened to her.

So sorry to hear about this. When Elizabeth Smart was missing from our town we all suffered along with her family. Hope there is a happy ending to this story. Thanks for keeping us all posted on what is going on. We will keep you all in our prayers.

My daughter called today and said a 9 year old was grabbed but able to get away in their town today. What is wrong with people!!!

Oh my, the poor Dad. He would never be able to concentrate on what he is suppose to do in Iraq, I hope he will not have to go. Mom needs him for support as well.

Oh my, not the news I had hoped for. I can't imagine what this poor family is going through. Thanks for posting the news site. I will check it out. If there are any flyers us farmgirls could help pass out in our communities let us know. Seems like truck stops are a good place to start posting them if they aren't already there.
