I will be applying for a job locally that will still allow me to stay home with Nora during the day, attend school, and bring in a good paycheck. This could be really life-changing for us- literally doubling what we currently have as income. Our belts would not have to be so painfully tight and we could start making right with some of our creditors. Please send me any good thoughts or prayers that if this is right for us, it will all work out. The best thing? I will still be able to keep up with you all!
Love you all!

Thanks ladies! I just sent off two resumes. The first was to Bresnan Communications. It would be a call center job doing customer service. It looks like, from the information I was reading that the intial shifts would be from 4pm- Midnight- Perfect! Nora would go to day care for a few hours until her Daddy picked her up after work. I would still get to stay home with her and...I since I have a laptop- I could chat you all up during my lunch break! :D If that did work out, I would take Doug to work in the morning, Nora and I would get to play with Tala on our way home, then I would work on homework in the afternoon and then I would get ready for work, drop Nora off at the daycare place and go to work. Doug would be able to walk to pick up the car, pick up Nora and spend the evening with her. The only snaffu would be him having to come pick me up so we are hopeful that we will be able to find a neighbor that could come sit at our house for the 20 minutes while he would be gone to pick me up, or that maybe a co-worker would also live in Laurel so I could do a carpool type thing. We shall see- I have to get the job first! But it would be so amzing- it would pay for bills and Tala's care and hopefully I could get into the financial branch so I could have good looking experience on my resume. Also they help pay for tuition- I am sure after you have worked there for a year or so. BUT if I get the job now, then by next fall my school would be paid for! That is very thrilling!

Good luck Alee. I finally got a job. I am working at EBMS in the provider service department. It is very near the Wells Fargo call center. Wish that I could help with the car pool thing but I live in the wrong direction. I'm keeping my fingers cross. Let me know.

The best thing you can do to make life easy is to get rid of credit card debt. We have gotten rid of ours almost ten years ago and what a relief. Now we have a savings account for the things we want or need.
Remember me as a rose. |
