We have been having really beautiful weather--23 days of no rain--but there have been forest fires in British Columbia causing excellent sunsets. Beauty out of tragedy. I understand the fires are under control now. Thank goodness. I posted some pics on my smallcityscenes blog. MB
I love all your pics Marybeth and I couldn't agree more, an hour or two at the ocean puts your feet back on the ground and re-centers you. Lowest tide of the year is coming up and I can't wait to go to the estuary on Muir Creek...my fav place on the entire island. This year I will be sure to take more pics. Oh, and I always wondered what Mt.Baker looked like from the "other side". haha It looked like it was covered with pink ice cream the other night. D
Mary Beth: OMG what BEAUTIFUL pictures. Absolutely breath-taking!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing the views with all of us. Marly

Your pictures are gorgeous! That eagle, especially...
It's so strange. I've always understood BC to have a fairly temperate, slightly moist climate? And you've had wildfires. Meanwhile my friend in Reno who usually battles drought hasn't had to water her garden since the end of May.
