I don't have a coffee grinder, and someone gave me a bag of whole beans for Christmas this year. Do you suppose I can use my food processor to chop them up?

You should be able to, depending on what style it is. If it's a flat bottom one try it. I had to resort to using my blender one day, didn't work so well. Coffee grinders aren't that expensive. You can pick one up at your local discount store for around $10.00, it's well worth it. Once you taste freshly ground coffee you won't go back. :)

Most grocery stores have them now too. And they sometime will let you grind away.
