Cody went to the doc on Friday and the wound is progressingly nicely! Also, the doc told him he could put 25% of his weight on the leg now (how in the world do you judge that?)He was pretty excited. He even rode out to the range with his girlfriend and watched her target practice (he said watched her, but I bet he took a couple of shots too, leaning on his crutch!). Anyway, good good news - especially for his spirit.

That is great news!!! I hope he continues to improve every day. I have a son the same age and I know how frustrated they get when they can't do the things they think they should be able to do. Michele

Sherri, I am so happy to hear this! Did his wound heal without the $15,000 procedure? JoAnn P.S. Hug that girlfriend for us. She's a gem |

JoAnn - Yep - he had his faith well placed in the wound specialist it seems. The "baked potato" treatment is working! I don't know if I explained it before, but they dip gauze in a saline solution, wrap his foot/ankle in foil, then attach electrodes to it and run electricity through it for 45 minutes. Seems to be doing the trick! Kind of "mad scientist" tho, isn't it?

The body has a wonderful ability to heal itself if we let it. A round of applause to the wound specialist! I'm so happy for you all. JoAnn |
