Cody went to the doc today and the news wasn't very good. The deep "hole" he has in his ankle isn't healing the way they want it to and the doctor says he has a hematoma near the bone and they want to do a "back skin" treatment and a skin graft. This is over $15,000 in addition to what he's already racked up. He has been seeing a wound specialist who thinks his treatments are working. Cody asked the doctor if he couldn't just keep doing the wound specialist treatments and they called the head honcho doc into take a look at it. She said she trusts the wound specialist, but not to give it too long to start looking better. The doctor said he would give the wound specialist three more visits before he would insist on the more radical treatment. If it is not taken care of he could lose his foot. Please send good healing thoughts and prayers his way. I know that all of your prayers have helped him get to this point but it looks like now we need a fresh round. Thanks so much for all your concern and support.

Oh Sherri, Oh Cody!! I am keeping you in my thoughts..so close...I will be heading off to bed with my kids to read stories...I will keep them extra close and ask them to make sure they say an extra prayer for Cody. Thank you Annika and Julia. I actually made a document out of everyone's good wishes and e-mailed them to him so he has an idea of how much love and support are being sent out to him. He told me he got another card today, from "one of your mom's farmgirl sisters". He really enjoys the cards and appreciates them.
Michele - was that you that sent Cody a card? He called me the other day and said he received a card from "Michele - one of your mom's farmgirl sisters". It really perked up his day!
