Anyone interested in a embroidery block swap? Say 8 1/2" size on unbleeched muslin and we would do it in groups of 4. Sign up more then once if you want. This would be for machine or hand embroidery. Embroidery of block your choice. Embroidered signature and screen name and date. Make sure you leave a 1/4 inch around all edges so they can be joined together. Just pick a simple design. Have fun
Blocks mailed to me by June 29 (meaning this is last day to mail) Please let me know on this thread when mailed. E mail me when done.
Inside a self addressed envelope same size and enough for postage.
Group 1 Carrie-Cinnamongirl complete Received Judith-Forgetmenot arrived Received Joanna-JojoNH arrived Michelle-Huckleberrywine arrived Received

That would be fun for sure. Mine would have to be hand embroidered if that is okay.

I might like to do this also. Mine would be hand embroidery. And, also need to know how many blocks. Don't know how quickly I could finish several. Sounds fun! |

Yes it would be 8- 10 blocks each. Signing up as many times as you want.
We use unbleeched muslin for the blocks.
You would embroider what you like with a signiture embroidered and screen name.
It is really easy and a project you can take anywhere.

Also, I've not entered anything like this before. What happens to all the blocks after they are submitted? |

Judith you are to funny. One thing I forgot to post on pg 1 so you know. You also add a self addressed envelope with enough postage for me to send back. I forget to add these things for new girls. Welcome and glad to see you in stitching room.

Okay, let me see if I understand all the instructions. . . kind of new to all of this!
We make 8 to 10, 8 1/2" square embroidered blocks, leave a quarter inch seam allowance all the way around, be sure to embroider our screen name, signature and the date onto the blocks. Then we mail all 8 to 10 blocks to you along with a self addressed postage paid envelope to receive 8 to 10 blocks back. All blocks are to be mailed by June 29th.
Is this correct?? Let me know if I missed anything . . ..
and sign me up!!

You are correct but I put it in groups of 8. Embroidery of your choice. It is not hard we used to do this one. Choose a simple design. Then you could make them into a wall hanging or keep collecting and make a quilt or whatever you decide. |

Oh, good!! I was hoping this would be a "GO". I actually bought the fabric, cut it out, and started the embroidery. For a first timer I probably have a better chance of finishing four. I am so excited! Thanks for going ahead even without the 8. |
