I think I am sure to lose weight having a toddler during summer! Nora wants to be outside all the time- Great! But I still have to do my work inside...not so great. So since the back yard is fenced and we live in a safe area, I have decided she can play outside as long as I go check on her a lot. Which since I am paranoid is like every two minutes. So I fold a few clothes and decide to check on her as I am putting things away. And of course since I am walking around so much I always spot a thing or two that needs to be put away in the direction I am going- so I end up taking little side trips after checking on Nora. I think in the past couple of days I have quadrupled the amount of activity I normally do! Plus since I am busy- I don't get bored and start snacking! GREAT!

However I do now NEED a snack in the late afternoon because I have started getting shaky. The time between lunch and dinner is just too long now! LOL

Anyone else feel like their toddlers are giving them a good workout?

Ha Ha! For sure. My midwife asked me if I was doing a pregnancy exercise program. I told her yeah it was called chasing around 3 kids 3 and under, gardening and goats. If I added an exercise program to that I don't think I'd be able walk....ever!!

Misty how is 3 under 3? I just found out I am pregnant again, I already have a boy that is barely two and another that is 11 months.

Alee, I totally agree with you, kids have been the best diet a girl can get. I barely feed myself at meal time, because I am helping or feeding the little ones. There is so much time between each of my own bites, that I tend to feel full before I finish my plate.

Chelsea~ Congratulations!! You are starting out exactly how we did!! 3 under 3 is hard for the first 3 months. Just brace yourself for it! I just didn't worry much about the house and extra things and focused on getting through each day. It has gotten considerably easier as they have grown. Right now they are 3,2 and 1 but then I am due with #4 in November! I expect it to be very difficult for the first few months but then it will work itself out again!!!
Alee...my midwife laughed too. She said she thought that what I was already doing was probably enough....I would hope so!!!

You gals are an inspiration! I am hoping that we get some of our financial mess straightened out soon as I would love to have another little one. Nora needs a playmate and she loves babies so much. Plus each child is so amazing. It's such a priviledge to get to look through a child's eyes again as an adult! It always brings a smile to my face when I get to point something new out to Nora or seeing the simple things that bring her joy!

Aww here's hoping it works out soon for you to have another baby Alee. Like you said earlier....if you breastfeed and do cloth diapers the cost is very minimal for the first year or even a little longer!
