I love musk. I love combination of lavendar, petuli, sandlewood. Love anything that is calming since I tend to be on the "wired" side. I love essential oils.

I'm a White Shoulders woman, too. My husband buys me a bottle every Christmas for my stocking.

Ha! My signature scent is dirt and sweat, usually rubbed off on me by two young boys, or the dog, or the horse. I do use a lot of lavender though, lavender oil in everything including my shampoo and laundry soap. My oldest loves to play in my hair and he says it smells like lavender and roses. awwwww. I don't like perfume, and my husband really objects to things that are too smelly, or perfumey. I guess you'd say we're au naturel. ;-) |

I like to wear "Goddess", an essential oil blend daily. Even when I'm going out to work in the garden. DH & the kids gave me "Beautiful" last year for Mother's day. It's the only commerical fragrance that I will occasionally wear, but I love my Goddess the best!

My favorite in the past was Flora Danica, it came from Denmark, and I can't find it anymore. But I wear Coco by Chanel, if I wear any perfume. HUBBY BUYS IT FOR ME!
I kind of stopped when the grands were born, because when they nuzzled my neck, they would sometimes sneeze, so I stopped.

For Sundays and special events, I love Annick Goutal's Eau du Sud or Songes. (I would wear these everyday but for the cost. ;-) For everyday, I often wear Auric Scents' Egyptian Goddess Musk. It is not musky, as in sweet and heavy, at all; just a fresh, floral, almost sophisticated perfume oil.
That Flora Danica... I had not heard of that. But I do know that Flora Danica is the pattern name for the china commissioned for and used by the Danish Royal Family. Since the Lalique crystal company has had their own signature fragrance, I'm wondering if this was a similar thing. It's a shame you can't get it anymore. :(

For me it depends on what time of the year it is. Right now I am switching off between these three:

I love any of the "graces" by Philosophy....Amazing, Baby, Pure.....I was thinking they should name the next one "Fallen from" Grace! LOL! My Mother loved White Shoulders and I used to buy it for her. I would actually LOVE room spray that smelled of fresh mown hay and/or manure...(not pig manure though...only horse and cow)....it brings me right back to my childhood! And horse sweat....I loved the smell that lingered on me after riding...sometimes I would just bury my nose in the side of my horse and sniff deeply....ahhhh!!!! Am I strange or what? Also, little children's sweaty heads in the summer...ahhh...the memories!

4711 - the original cologne that's been around for a couple hundred years (and never causes a migraine) White Shoulders - because it reminds me of my mother Spellbound - for that rare sexy night out on the town with DH

Jessica McClintock or anything lavender.

Eau de' chicken? No, seriously - the last time I wore a "scent", it was Angel, which I though was delicious and almost made my husband throw up (literally). I must admit to dousing it a bit too liberally near my hairline, though. I've been au naturel ever since and no one's complained!

Ahh, Mad Typist, my mother sells fragrances and SWEARS that Angel is the most fabulous fragrance going. Men will actually stop her when she's wearing it...it doesn't smell good on me, though...Sorry for your poor husband! His nose must be like mine!

I wear Annie Oakley "Sunset" and sometimes Crabtree & Evelyn Lily of the Valley. Both are very light and sweet fragrances. The lotion I use every day is vanilla scented and hubby says I smell like baking cake!

When I am not wearing horse and leather I wear Dune. When I want to go essential oil I use Neroli or Sandlewood. Must admit that it is horse and leather more often than anything else.

Mine's the signature fragrance from Tiffany's. I keep the scented candle and soaps in my drawers (as in chest of drawers, not the underwear!) It keeps my clothes scented for a fraction of the cost of the perfume. |
