My Daughter and I went to a few sales this morning, at first I couldn't find anything, then toward the end I had pretty good luck. I posted pictures.
Its was sunny and warm today, don't know if it will last long, but it was nice for walking around this morning at sales.

The quilr, the clock and the cannister--WOW--. Good finds. The quilt looks reall pretty. I found a blue and white one, all cleaned, wrapped in plastic and marked 'Pet Blanket'. 2 dollars --the dog doesn't get it. Haha. MB

Nancy you always find great deals and really nice things. The canister is pretty and I love buying quilts too. Never seem to have enough. Amazing how things can be cleaned up and look brand new again. Love a great deal when I find one too. My hubby and I are hitting an annual yard sale at the Running Y Resort tomorrow morning which we usually fair pretty well. Will let you know.

Gail, lets see what you find. I always love seeing what others come across.I wonder if its different depending on where you live? Next weekend here there are lots and lots of sales, I think its the real beginning of the season. I will probably have all the Grand daughters here, but they love to go to. I just need more coffee thats all.

I think it is different in various parts of the country.....at least I notice a difference between FLorida and Illinois. Florida seems to have LOTS of glassware and postcards and estate jewelry..... Illinois has more old kitchen stuff. Which I love. Could be just my imagination, but there is more farm stuff in the midwest too.

It's for sure that New York has better garage sales than here in S.E. KS. About all we get is baby cloths and toys. Maybe a few tools and dishes. Haven't found any really good stuff for years. Went to a sale one time and parked in the ally behind the house. In their trash was an antique watering can. We ask about it and the guy said it;s no good, you can have it. Little did he know that I would have given a bunch for it since I collect antique watering cans.

The best sales I ever went to were in York PA while visiting a friend.

Belle'
Free is the best! I used to collect watering cans, I have several. Haven't picked up any for a few years, but I do see them once in awhile. There are so many different shapes and sizes.
