I came up with an idea for a really simple homemade laundry sprinkler. I used an empty glass pop bottle and the plastic screw-on cap from a water bottle. I used the smallest drill bit in my kit and drilled a lot of holes in the top of the plastic water bottle cap, then just filled the pop bottle with water and screwed the cap on. I've been using it for a few months now and its yet to leak.

My dh made something similar for me with a mayonnaise jar - drilled holes in the lid and I used it to water my herb planter.

My granny had a glass pop bottle with a sprinkler stopper in the top. I have one like it under my kitchen sink that I got on eBay. Just had to have it because it reminded me of her. Unfortunately the cork is all dried out so it won't seal right.

get some wide rubber bands and wrap around the end and that will seal it.

That's exactly what my Grandmother and older relatives did way back when. They didn't have lots of money so they made everything.
