I started what I guess is a strip quilt with the material I got from my Aunt this past weekend. So far it seems to be working.I posted a picture.

Nancy, Lovin your strip quilt. Isn't it amazing how a pile of unrelated and uncoordinated fabrics look so fantastic together when you put a little love into them? Are you hand piecing or machine piecing?
You keep goin!!! Michele

Lori, the strips are about 2in. Because its a strip quilt I guess you wouldn't have to be exact. Michele, I'm doing it on the machine, I will tie it off by hand. If I was hand sewing it, it wouldn't be done before I die. HA.

Nancy, it looks good so far. Are you using scissors to cut or do you have a rotary cutter? They sure are handy. But mine broke the other day and I can't figure out how it goes back together. Of course I threw away the back where it had instructions. I'll take it back to Hobby Lobby next time I go. I really liked it while it worked. It really helps cut those straight lines and I need all the help I can get.

Kristin, I really should get one of those cutters. I have been making a cut and then ripping the material into strips.
