I sent some wool from my sheep to Melissa and she sent me the cutest wreath that she made!!! It was perfect to hang on the little window panes on the french doors between my living room and family room with the little herb bundles I dry there...isn't it cute? She also sent a really sweet bar of soap which I am going to hoard and not share. I put it in a pretty dish by the kitchen sink for me to use.
Thanks so much Melissa!!

love your herb window .. it reminds me of those sheer curtains in a friend's home .. it had sheer pockets where she tucked herbs and other treasures and when the sun came through .. it was wonderful! xo

makes me want my herb garden to start sprouting!

Our little house is really old (the original part of it is more than 100 yrs old) so it has some neat things about it, like the door knobs and kitchen windows, neat big chubby mouldings around the windows..things like transom windows above some of the doors and these big tall french doors, which I love. At this point we always keep them closed. The family room is kid zone and the living room sort of my quiet cleaner place. The family room is also right off the kitchen. I think when the kids are much older we will take up the carpet in there too (there is wood floor under it like the living room has) and open the doors sometimes, but for now we keep them closed. The simple muslin curtains are on the family room side. The doors are at least 8 ft. tall!

I'm looking for hardware like that! I told DH - no new hardware in the house as we remodel it. So I'm going out in the freezing cold on trade days looking for old hardware. :) Anybody see any... let me know! I found some pulls for my kitchen drawers, but have yet to find anything for the kitchen cabinet doors.
