Do you or have you ever felt you are destined to be more than you are right now? My whole life, I have always had this "feeling" that something "BIG" is going to happen to me, for the better or good. Like, everything I am doing is for a bigger reason, mostly pertaining to where I want to go in life. Have you ever had that feeling so strong that people might even think you are a bit crazy for thinking so??? No, this is not the Mono talking...

Well, for me, I feel like my whole life is leading to something bigger and better and that is Heaven. I won't start a religious debate but for me my goal is to be the best person I can be and do unto others as I would like done unto me in order to reach my final resting place. That is a big goal and one worth working towards! So for me it isn't so much what I accomplish on this earth (the one with the most toys still dies!) but rather making a difference in my little part of this world!

Elizabeth- I agree with you. Just outside the religous context, I have a feeling that I am destined for something bigger here in this lifetime, making a difference as you say. : )

I think greatness, or that something big that you describe, has many definitions. I believe we all have it within us to achieve greatness, as Chris said. But, we should not be so focused on "what could be" that we shun the "what is" that surrounds us. Some moments of greatness are so quick and subtle that, if we are looking ahead for the one BIG one, we miss them and the opportunities they bring us. Work hard, be watchful and it will come to you, I'm sure. :)

| i don't know that i feel that i was put here for a bigger or better reason, however, i do feel alot of the time that things do happen for a reason. i think that we all contribute more than we realize to making our own "luck", but sometimes when things turn out differently, and our path, out of the clear blue sky changes direction, well, i guess i think of that as destiny, or that god really wants us to go in that direction!! |
