Does anyone know whether it's safe to compost rhubarb leaves? I know they are poison to eat, but will they taint your compost?

I've done some research and if anyone was wondering - yes you can compost them - the oxalyic acid neutralizes as they compost.

I use my leaves as mulch around the plants. Shade out those pesky weeds.

I've seen some of the yard art made with them-very cool. Had any one ever tried making a tonic for roses with them? I've heard that it can be helpful when trying to control black spot. Just wondering if any one knew if it worked.
