My hubby is just a little sick, my neighbor is sick also So I decided to make some home made chicken noodle soup for both of them. After putting the Kluski noodles from an unopened bag, I came to read my E-mails. Then I went out to check on my soup and found 7 small dead moths floating on top of my soup. I hope I got them all out but I won't know for sure. I will still have it for our supper tonight, No way I'm throwing it out. I just hope my hubby does not find any of these pain in the neck moths in his soup.:( I'm bummed.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Diane, if we only knew what bugs and dirt that we eat along with our food, we would probably stop eating. The moths wouldn't have hurt anything even if you left them in. Now, mouse poop is another thing altogether. LOL We are so over run with them that it is hard to tell where all they have been. The only thing I can be sure of is what is in the fridge. Give me the moths any day.

Did you ever see, "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio?" There's a scene in that movie where Mother refuses to admit her soup has bugs in it. One of the kids says, "There are bugs in my soup." Mother replies, "No, those are spices." Another child says, "Spices don't have legs." Mother, resolutely, replies, "Those are spices." The children stop talking and sadly eat their soup.

I also remember an Andy Griffith joke I heard once. A man says, "Waiter, there is a fly in my soup." The waiter says, "Hush, or the others will want one, too."

What they don't know can't hurt them, right. That's funny, Jessie. I'd have said the same thing.

Use a blender and blend it all up and no one will know.

I didn't see any more moths in the soup and my hubby loved it and he said he wanted to take the leftovers to work tomorrow for him and his co-worker, so I said O.K.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.
