Check my blog for pictures I took to try and capture nature at it's finest at this time of Spring here in Arkansas. I'd love to see pictures of other's Springtimes around the globe! Oh, and I wish I could transport the wonderful smell too! The wet earth, the blossoms of the flowering trees and bushes...ahhh....thank you Lord!

How funny Sam - you look to be about a week or so behind us! All our dogwoods area about past bloom and I would say that 90% of our trees have leafed out already. Pretty much all but the sycamores which always seem to be last! Since it finally quit raining I will try to take some pictures today!

After watching the Weather Channel last night, it looks as though Arkansas has been having some really bad weather. Hope you are okay. Your pictures are lovely. My Cherokee Chief red dogwood is just starting to bloom and the neighbor's Bradford pear is just about finished. They are so beautiful this time of year.

Betty the western part of Arkansas got hit with some bad tornadoes about a week or so ago. The town of Mena was pretty well destroyed. Rain and storms - even tornados- is par for the course this time of year.

Julie...we had a frost last Monday morning.....I have never seen such a cold wet Spring since I've been here which is 5 years but today is gorgeous! HOw far are you from the MO border? We're about an hour so we might be just that much North of you to make a difference. Those clouds in the pictures from this morning never dropped anything...they just passed on by and then the sun came out....YES!!!!
Thanks Betty....yes...the weather down here can get pretty "wild" and dangerous especially with all the trees..you can't see storms coming. When I lived in Iowa...we could pretty much see bad weather on the way for miles! Of course at night there's nothing except the weather channel and radar unless your t.v. goes out and then there's the weather radio. I am very fortunate to have a basement but because of the rocky terrain here it is very expensive to dig one and many people don't have them.

Hey...never mind....I just came in and now there's a severe thunderstorm warning! See how fast it changes! At least I got some work done outside!
