Yesterday I got to meet up with two Chicago area farmgirls at the Chicago Botanic Garden, Katie (Katie-el) and Linda (Linder). We had a wonderful time talking and walking through the beautiful gardens. Of course the first place the three of us headed for was the orchard and vegetable garden. True farmgirls at heart!
It was so nice to meet the farmgirls from this connection. We had so much in common and tons to share with each other. I really appreciated Katie arranging for us all to meet. She gave us each adorable vintage aprons too!
We enjoyed our visit so much that we plan to have another meeting possibly next month. We hope Deb (City Chick) and some other IL girls can join us too.
Lisa and Deb, we'll definitely invite you and any other farmgirl who wants to meet up! We were very lucky to go on Saturday since Sunday was chilly and rainy all day. The Chicago Botanic Garden is really beautiful right now, but the tulips look to be about two weeks away from blooming. It is going to be spectacular when they open!
