I am finishing a thin knit scarf for my sister. It was supposed to be done a while ago, but I got sidetracked. She specifically wanted a thin, holey, brown scarf.

I am also knitting a baby blanket.

Also,...(lol) I am finishing a knit bunny rabbit stuffed animal for my best friend's little 2 year old.

I will be starting a blanket for my sister's graduation from high school. I think I might crochet it.

I am crocheting a really cool handbag for my mom for Mother's Day. It's made from the pattern in the book, Uncommon Crochet, and I'm having a lot of fun making it complete with mistakes and all. I haven't crocheted a pattern for years and years. Part of it is wet felted and other parts are crocheted with cotton yarn and then fabric is added...it's really neat looking. I'll post a pic on my blog when it's done.

I am making a wedding dress for my future daughter-in-law. I designed the pattern to be close to one she saw in a shop and have been working on it for about 6 weeks now. I finally have the intricate embelishments and beading finished so now I am back to working on the boned corselette and the lining. I am also just about finished with a pair of socks - all that's left is to kitschner stitch the toe. I still have 8 bridesmaid dresses to make and 2 flowergirl dresses but the wedding isn't until Sept. so I still have a bit of time. In the mornings I try to spend at least an hour at my spinning wheel - it's my focus/meditation time.

Does anyone have any advice on getting the garden dirt and chlorophyll off my hands after working in the garden? I still haven't been able to find a glove yet that actually lets my hands stay clean. I tried wearing surgical gloves inside my work gloves but it made the excema on my hands really bad. I usually end up resorting to using Ajax but that's so hard on the skin. I'd sure appreciate any advice on that one.

Love hearing what everyone is up too!!! Keep sharing, you are an inspiring group of women!!

sheri, try applying a good hand lotion on your hands first, then put on whatever gloves you are using. . . I find the dirt washes off much easier that way. Otherwise, I will use the brown bar soap that has pumice in it. . . forget the name, but the mechanics use it to clean their hands at the end of the day.

Quilting and making pin cushions. I actually just finished making a man's tie last night and I will probably never make another one. Good night, that was not easy to do! I need to make some aprons, have an idea for one tucked up in my brain that needs to come out! I love reading what all the farmgirl's are doing. :)

I just finished a painting for my new grandson. Copied from a stretched fabric design on the internet. Too pricey for my daughter so I justed painted one for her and she is thrilled. You can see it on my blog. I want to start a quilt for my gd graduation but there is yard work to do also. What to do? Guess I will do a bit of each! And I am always making crocheted dishcloths in the evenings. I have to get my fix of crochet! lol

I am in the middle of embroidering a pocket for a shopping bag. I am going to put a wooden handle on this one. Also I have started a quilt a few back and just found it. I went and got more material to finish it but really want to get the rotary cutter and cutting board before I do any more with it so I will be cutting straight lines. I am not a lover of straight lines, apparently. Not even in the garden. I am more into the pretty curvy lines. But not good when it comes to quilting. So really need to get those few items, then will continue with the quilt.

I forgot to say ya'll are some amazingly crafty busy ladies here.

I am working on a clothespin apron, a few quilt tops, a wool BOM quilt, and a machine embroidered quilt. Quilts, and more quilts, that's always on the menu here. I will make curtains for a friend soon, and a set for my bathroom too.

Today I finished an apron for my Mom, two tea towels that attach to the stove handle, and I am nearly finished with a purse I am making for my daughter's Rescue. She rescues small animals and birds. They are having a party next month and the purse will be raffled for donations to help fund the rescue. After that I will start making hammocks for the cages, for the ferrets, hedgehogs, mice, rats etc. and parrot toys made of fleece, they will also be sold for funds for the rescue. Just started making aprons and purses and I love the creativity and mad colors you can use. Buttons are great for decorations.

May the force of the Horse be with you.

Karen,
very nice painting and BEAUTIFUL grandson!!! Lovely bags, too.
I'm working on a painting, too. My girlfriend had to put down her beloved dog, Rocket so I'm doing a portrait of him for her. He really was a special dog and companion to her.

I'm knitting a pair of socks as a birthday gift. Also, I am learning how weave on a rigid heddle loom. On Sunday I learned how to warp the loom and am in the process of weaving a scarf.
