Our neighbor died recently after fighting to live after a stroke. I am a deacon at our church so I went down to chop and prepare food for the luncheon. Funny thing is I am very uncomfortable in a kitchen. I made the veggie tray and gave it style too.

I wore my new apron that my Auntie made. When she was making it her mother in law came in and said who are you making that for and she told her. Oh is she getting married the mil said, auntie said no. Well does she cook, auntie said no......then why are you making it for her she said. LOL That is my apron story now. The running joke is oh are you getting married when we wear an apron in our house.

She made it as my easter gift and very pretty colors with dogwood flowers on it.

What a wonderful story, I never realized the full powers of an apron! It is always so special to get one made just for you....
