Which beach are you going to? What is the state of Galveston? My hubby and I went there last year just before the hurricane and had a great time. Are they rebuilding?

We are going down to Corpus Christi. It is only 3 hours from here. They are having a hard time rebuilding Galveston because all the beach houses erroded/flooded away, so they want to push all those people back. A lot of the poor old timers their can't afford to rebuild to "code". It is tough.

Yay for your team, Heather! We live sort of close to the beach, too, but we never feel like we can get down there enough. I LOVE the beach! We even went this winter and had fun hobnobbing with the very different winter crowd (we were the youngest people everywhere we went). Have a great time!
