Hello everyone....I have been reading the book by Mary Jane and coming to this sight for about a week. It sure is fun!

A personal line or two about me...I have been married for 29 years, have 3 children who are all adults and I am a "retired" homeschooler of 16 years. I am "Mammay" to two sweet grandsons, ages 2 and 3 months! I am a citygirl living in the country on 5 acres and I am probably the least "farmgirl" here due to my health limits (lupus and fibromyalgia) but I can tell you that I love anything and everything about being a farmgirl!

Hello from a fellow Missourian! I'm ashamed to admit that I don't know where Holden is, but I'm down here in SE MO in Cape Girardeau. I'm fairly new, too, and have quickly become addicted to this site!

Welcome New Missouri Farmgirl,

And I'm another Missourian. Like Happymama58, I'm not familiar with the location of Holden. I'm in St. Louis and have family in SEMO, too.

My husband and I have 4 grown children and two beautiful, blossoming twin grandsons who will be 2 next week and they have a new brother or sister on the way in March. They don't live too far from us - Yippee! Our youngest son just lives about 5miles from us, our other son lives in Cape Girardeau. And then our daughter is finishing up college in Manhattan, Ks at K-State. She's actually started, stopped, started and is now finishing, I think she's in her 7th year - change of direction.

My husband's family is all from SEMO and he works in Cape Girardeau, so I hope you are closer to Cape than St. Louis, maybe the three of us, Happymama58, you and I, can all get together. That would be very nice.

Well, I'm glad that you are joinging the forum for farmgirls, as you will see it matters not if you actually live on a farm, you have the thoughts and heart and intentions of one and that's all that is required. So get comfy and feel free to share all your insights and dreams and we'll dream with you. Look forward to getting to know you even more. God bless you this day and always.

In His hands,
Lynda

Pray in faith and you will not live in doubt.

Thanks to everyone for the warm and cozy welcomes! I actually live about 45 minutes east of Kansas City. My husband is heading to St. Louis tomorrow and wanted me to come along but I have laryngitis, sinis infection and upper respitory infection. Sounds about as bad as I feel, ha ha!

My current farmgirl report is the mice that are inside of my house! I despise those nasty critters and as DUMB as it sounds, I'm afraid of them as well. I love anything that has to do with hospitality but they are NOT welcome in our home!

Welcome Deborah - drink lots of fresh squeezed carrot juice. My friend with fibromyalgia swears by it. And keep posting here. We would love to hear more about you.
