The last couple of weeks have been less than grand and the last couple of days have been SUPER stressful and I was starting to get pretty down about it. Last night I was really depressed and Doug was really great about listening to be vent and giving me lots of hugs.

Today I feel better!

Doug has his days where we both get frustrated with each other, but last night he really was exactly what I needed!

Sometimes a good vent needs a good listener (and hugger) to really clear the air. I'm glad you're feeling better and you're lucky to have Doug...and he, you!

One of the things that was great was that he really understood where I was coming from and was pretty upset to. Sometimes a little validation goes a long way!

I really feel lucky. My husband really cares for me. He misses me when I go away to visit friends or family, and he is supporting me in my dream to own and breed horses even though horses scare him to death. He worries about me and even though sometimes he can be a royal pain in the tucas- he is a sweet guy.

I can be ornery and he puts up with my mood swings and while we can have some blow up fights if we both get our dander up. But we have been together now for coming on 9 years so I think we make a good pair over all :D

You two sound like a great couple. I wish y'all lived closer. My hubby is having a hard time finding men he can relate to out here. He is so happy I found this forum, he wishes there was one for him. He is so smart and scientfic (he is way into alternative energy). Well we live next to Hanford (one of the worlds largest nuclear waste sites) and not too many people around us care about health or alternatives. They think Nuclear is the way to go and people like my husband and I are "Hippies". Which anywhere else we are normal but here. . .
anyhow Alee it is awesome to read your postings and I am sure your husband compliments your fabulousness.
Maybe we will all meet at Mary Janes 4th of July.
I look forward to it.

Hi Heide!

I will be there for sure! Farm Fair or Bust! However, my husband won't be coming along I don't think. He has the week off, but I doubt he will come. My mom and at least 2 of my sisters and my dad will be there though!

I'm so glad you guys have each other and that you can vent like that! That is very cool. Now, I'm even more excited about the BBB that your mom and dad and sisters are coming, too! I'm sooooo looking forward to this trip!

Oh yes! I have one too. I get so tired of women complaining about the things their men do. We need to be more grateful for them in the time we are allowed to be with them. I try to work real hard at giving as good as I get and it keeps getting better and better the more we both give. Thanks for a positive post.

Thanks Glenda! We have our moments where we both have to go to our seperate corners- but overall I feel really lucky! I have to admit that has "not been my month". I have been pretty short tempered around the house lately and he has been a trooper. I appologize when I snap at him, but that still doesn't make up for it. :( Gotta love him for putting up with me in good humors and bad!!

Me too! The older I get the more I realize how lucky I am to have dh. I know when I was younger I put him through a living H*** when I was premenstral. I had terrible terrible pms, but he put up with me and now thank goodness we share the same dream of moving to our cabin for what our kids call "mom and dad's big science experiment."! We've been together since 1967 and married since '71. Alee - it's great that you recognize Doug for his good points already - it took me many more years than that before I wised up!
