I have Tammyb's bag cut out and lining sewn. Had to stop to go to the store for a zipper. LOL!

This bag goes together very easily.

I have been busy this past weekend.
Yes the bag is super simple to make. I think it took about an hour in all.
Kelli I hope you like it!

I used quilting cottons. I can picture this bag in denim (old levis) too! Lots of fun fabrics.

Merry, I am sure I will...you should have your in the mail today or Monday at latest.

Toni, I have made several bags & have used cotton lawn, gingham, thrifted cotton print shirts, and even a silky kimono print. All work well. The only fabrics I think would *not* work well are stiff ones with no drape, i.e., heavy drapery/upholstery, canvas, denim, or burlap.

Ladies, please post photos when yor bags arrive!

You are welcome, Tammy. I am glad you liked the bag. And I guess you've let the Potato out of the Bag - tee hee.

Since several have asked, here are the directions for making a microwave potato bag. It is a very easy thing to make. I hope you can understand these directions. NOTE: I used my serger for all seams.

Cut 2 pieces of 100% cotton fabric 10" x 22".
Cut 1 piece of 100% cotton batting 10" x 22" (I use warm and natural).
Place fabric pieces right sides together and place batting on top.
Pin one short 10" side together and sew a 1/2" seam.
Pin the other 10" side together and sew a 1/2" seam.
Turn right side out and press along seams.
Place on table with the outside of the bag facing up.
Take short ends and fold to the center, overlapping one over the other by 2".
Pin overlapped areas in place (to hold in place) and sew long sides together.
Turn right side out and it is ready to use.

When I give as a gift or sell, I put a copy of these directions inside the bag:

Microwave Baked Potato Bag

Wash Potato
Wrap in paper towel
Place in Microwave Potato Bag
DO NOT PUNCTURE POTATO!

Place potato bag in microwave oven. One potato - about 5-7 minutes; two potatoes - about 11-13 minutes. Times may vary depending on microwave ovens, so start with shorter time and increase as necessary for your oven.

I hope you enjoy this pattern. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

Linda O

Has no one else received their bags? This was an easy pattern and turned out cute in many fabrics. Let's see the rest of them.
