Oh! I'd love to but I'm catering that weekend. Will there be a repeat of the class if there is enough interest?
It's not about being perfect, but enjoying what you do. Set aside time to be creative.

Rebekka!! How I've been thinking of you!! I just finished 2 black velvet bracelets that were totally inspired by you. I added pieces of lace and these awesome rustic glass buttons..I'll wear them to this party, which I'm TOTALLY planning on attending. In fact, I'm putting it on my calendar now! Way too excited for words! Hope you are well..thinking of you so so so much!! sending love and blessings!! ~julia

We will absolutely post a few pictures for those of you who can't make it. This class was offered at the National Quilting Expo in Iowa and both beginners and more experienced farmgirls made true works of art. My favorite part of the class is when the girls saw the baskets of vintage lace, buttons, and doilies to choose from- like little kids in a candy store! You can also bring old photos, quilt pieces, charms, hankies and other supplies from home to use or swap, let your imagination be your guide.
Julia- I am so excited you are coming! Those bracelets sound perfect- and I know your mini quilt will be delightful. Rebekka

I hope you all will come on out. We have so much fun, and there is little better then getting to know everyone that comes out. And these memory quilt squares are so adorable. Katy, Rebekka and I each did the same picture, but all three squares were so different, it was so much fun to see how we each approched the process.

I am sorry to hear that some of you can't make it in April... there are monthly classes for April, May and June listed under Pay Dirt Farm School on MaryJane's website and you can see all the details. Any of these classes would also be a nice fit for older children so feel free to sign them up as well (I find that age 9 and up works best but we all know some children who might need more or less time to be ready for an adult class).
Warmly, Rebekka

Hmm, well, if it's closed, I can't call. Had a kitty emergency come up today. (She's going to be fine and avoid the recliner in the future. Both she and DH were in shock there for a bit.) I suppose, Julia, we'll call on Monday and hope for the best. :) I can't wait to see you get your "fix" of Rebekka. Too funny!

Sorry to hear about kitty Michelle- hope all is well now. Julia, you are welcome to come sit, space out, laugh, stare, or sew!!! You deserve whatever 'you' time you need mama, chasing three little ones will put you in awe of just being in the company of other women for sure. I love holding these classes, a few hours to sit back, sip some tea and make a little something to feather your nest. It is a real treat.
You can call Brian at the farm next week, I spoke to him today and he is expecting your calls, 1-888-750-6004. He is so friendly and will get you all squared away.

Grace- Hey there, I would love to have you join us and carpooling is a great idea;)
Amy- How exciting, as soon as our fence is done we will look into having a few chickens. Until then I will have to live vicariously!
Do look at the Pay Dirt Schedule for May and June www.maryjanesfarm.org/About/paydirt/2009schedule.asp We are offering classes each month and they will all be fabulous.

I'd be up for a carpool. I just need to get off work fast enough to call and reserve my spot. Hope I'm not too late today. woo-hoo for Friday!

Hey everyone!! I called the farm and talked with Brian this afternoon. He was under the impression that we could pay at the store but they would appreciate you calling the farm to register so they can have a proper head count to make sure they have enough supplies. Rebekka-Mae is this your understanding too??
Anyway, ladies, I'm on board! WAAAHOOOO!!! Hopefully nothing super weird will happen that will prevent me from coming but I do intend to be there. With respect to car-pooling I'd be thrilled to be involved here. May I offer myself as the driver? It would be my pleasure but I would also request that a plan B driver be in place in case something happens and Aria is ill or something and I can't go. We could find a central meeting place and go from there? Gracie, I could come by and pick you up....Huckleberry Wine...I'm over the top thrilled to meet you.. Rene, do I EVEN need to say how thrilled I am to see you and Rebekka, well just be prepared for me to stare at you the entire time like some sicko-wacko person!! I CAN NOT wait!!
Let me know ladies about the car-pool thing..have a gorgeous Easter!! ~julia

Hi Julia, Yep, that is correct... You can pay the night of the class, but please let us know that you are coming. Either by calling the farm, or emailing Brian, or emailing Rebekka or myself... Rebekka@MaryJanesfarm.org or Rene@MaryJanesfarm.org. or brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org and we will plan accordingly.
While classes are subject to change, please note that we do have a class calender on the website.. here is that link http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/About/paydirt/
