Why does it go to a blank screen when I post a comment? It used to take me back to the thread I was posting on and today I just get a blank screen. So I have to go to Home and then back into the forum.??

Thanks Rene'! It's still doing it. It stays on the forum, but it's blank except for the top it will have the buttons like Home, Profile, etc. But it won't take me back to the forum. I have to click on Home and go back in that way. I dunno!

Hi Rene, Brian got my login info fixed and my daughters working, but now I am unable to post in the Klamath Falls Charming Chicks and the MJ'S Heirloom Mavens site. He will need to put me back on again. Thank you.

Hi, farmmom22:

I see this sort of thing every so often, and, yes, it's very annoying!
So far, no matter how much I try to resist it, it usually means that I need to delete cookies and cache from the forum in my internet browser, and let the forum refresh them. There may actually be another cause, but it would be a very complicated, ephemeral fix, I'm sure.

So, to be explicit about how to delete cookies/cache...
In Internet Explorer ("IE"), you usually go to the menu Tools > Internet Options. In IE 7, under the "General" tab, there's the "Browsing History" section. Click the "Delete..." button. Then delete "Temporary Internet Files" (aka Cache) and "Cookies".

In Firefox 3.0, go to the menu Tools > Clear Private Data... Check "Cache" and "Cookies" at least (you may not want to clear the other stuff, just to make it easier on yourself, if you fill in lots of forms or want to keep your browsing history), then "Clear Private Data Now".

See if that helps make the forum's pages redirect properly.

Thanks Gabe! Just so happened lightning fried my old computer Saturday. So my new computer is doing fine. At least I'll know what to do next time it starts misbehaving! You're a smart man Gabe!! Thanks, Tammy

You mean that's not everybody's way to deal with an old computer? lol! We didn't have a surge protector plugged up to the computer so lightning run in the phone lines and well, fried it. So the telephone company had to come out and we had to get a new computer. So now I'm state of the art!

That's my kinda solution!

Now if only I could figure out how to send lightning to people's houses...

"You have a problem? Heh heh!" ZAP! "Well, I guess you'll have to get a new computer."
X)

But, really, that is rather tragic, and an expensive way to solve a problem. Enjoy the heck out of your new computer!
