LOL, of course I had to look knowing you surely didn't need to lose that much! But it's so awesome of you donating that much stuff. Hugs!

I am really enjoying this new simplicity. I have lived this "lightly" before and I found I spent more time on me and pursuing the things I wanted to do. Last night, even though we are in the middle of a move, I sat on the floor and just goofed off with Charlie. I wasn't worried about where stuff needed to be or go or clean. : )

I didn't weigh my stuff, but there were 8 bags, and I have several boxes. My friend Diane has been taking a box home everytime she stops by, so pretty soon I will be cleaned out.

I was just interested in seeing how much I crammed into the back of that pick up truck. We have a lot of weight stations right up the road. I did realize the last time we moved, we had less stuff because we rented the smaller truck and it wasn't full to the top. : )

I now look at things and realize, can I clean it easily, take care of it easily, will it last, how long will I be needing it, is it something I love or need??? This really is helping me keep the clutter out.

WOW Heather! That's great! I have on a purging spree the couple of days. I spent Monday working on my bedroom. I have 6 boxes of odds and ends and a garbage bag of clothes for the church yardsale and had a full bag of junk to go to the dump. That was just my room! I had no idea I had that much junk stashed in my room!

I still like stuff, but I love sharing even more. I have been trying to rid myself of clutter and you are all helping with that, plus my nephew and his wife love getting a surprise box to check out from me and they can and do use everything. But wow 145 pounds of stuff is making a lot of thrift store shoppers happy and making your self happy also it doesn't get much better than that.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

You got my attention, I was thinking "Wow, what diet was she on and how can I start it" Great you were able to give so much stuff away. Never thought to weight the vehicle first when loaded down and after when we unload, it would probably amaze me on how much stuff we gather and then give away.

Good job!

Heather,
Congrats!!! You are an inspiration in "lightening the load" We all must be in that mode latley. Hmmm maybe its what our moms and grams did and called it Spring Cleaning.
Seriously, No other generation has had such a knack for burying ourselves in stuff. I have stopped the accumulation wagon and just keep telling myself that I don't need more, I need waaaaaay less.
And we also have a rule that if you see a product and never knew of its existence, you must have a 2 week cooling off period before purchasing it. This woorks well for me because I usuall have forgotten about it by that time. I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast most days so I'm sure not going to go buy that whatever.lol
