The knife sharpening man just came down my block with his cart. He comes every year - I can hear his bell clanging. Up and down the blocks he goes. Sharpening knives. I just love that he still does this.
Unfortunately, I cannot take my knives out today. I have no cash. I love to support his work and encourage him to continue on!
How nice that someone still does that. I remember the fish man coming around once as week when I was a kid, he always had lots of fish, laid out on a bed of ice. I'm sure I drove him nuts asking what each kind of fish was.
