I have had this for several years, my aunt found it and had it framed for me. Its one of my favorite things.Posted a picture.
We were able to work outside today.Pretty excited about that. I believe we hit 60. Richard washed the car and the jeep, cleaned up the yard, then we went to sears to get him a few new work clothes. Then we took a ride around here and there. Going to cook a steak on the grill a little later, have that with some left over mac.salad that I made yesterday. Oh Yea, I got a big grocery order early this morning. Then either raspberry sherbet or orange sherbet for dessert. It was buy one get one free. So I had to get two.It will go good with the sugar cookies I made yesterday when the kids were here. Then I will need to lay down.

Love the grocery list. What a treasure for you! And your day sounds so nice, just the part about riding around with your hubby. We do that too sometimes, and it is such a simple pleasure.

What a cool thing to have, I love that it has the prices... I love to find things from everyday life... silly it seems but it gives us a real feeling of what their life was like sometimes our ancestors seem so far away but things like this bring them back to us.

Nancy, that is a real treasure for sure. How wonderful to have it.
I love your blog, I hadn't visited yet this month until now. You do such a nice job on it I just wanted to tell you so.
I also have a question, if you don't have a blog, can you become a follower of one (or several)?

Thank you girls, you always cheer me up with your nice comments. CINDY,not sure. But I think you have to have a blog. Maybe someone with more computer savvy then me can answer that for you. I know a lot of the girls here don't have blogs.

38 cents for a pound of butter....gotta love it. I wonder how long the items on that list would last her?
Probably as far as she could stretch it...

Thanks for sharing!

A few years ago, an aunt gave my a cookbook that my Grandma had written her recipes in when she was a newlywed.
It is so fun to read and then read the notations like, "my sweetheart's favorite" etc.
What treasures these are
