I dont know if Ive got this in the right place, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to get motor oil from a throw carpet? Levi dumped oil all over himself and the carpet not too long ago. I've let the carpet out in the rain hoping to wash some of it out, but wouldnt you know, weve had nothing but sprinkles and snow. It is too big to fit in the washing machine and Im not really sure what would cut through oil anyways.
HELP!!???!!!???

Ooh, that's a toughy. Is there a laundromat nearby with one of those huge capacity washers for sleeping bags and the like?

Dawn dishwashing liquid. Remember the Exxon Valdez incident in Alaska? What did they use to clean up all the oil soaked birds....yes, Dawn. It's a great grease cutter. Ammonia is good too, I use it when I wash a load of grease rags from Larry's shop. Be sure to have good ventilation if you use Ammonia, it's very strong. And don't mix with other chemicals.

You could also try hand cleaner. The kind you use to get grease and and oil off your hands.
