My beloved Mama passed away this morning after a long battle with several illnesses including Leukemia. In the end she was just too weak and tired to go on. I can truly say I've lost my best friend, although I know that she's gone on to a place where she'll never be sick again or in the pain that she had been experiencing.
I want to thank everyone here who prayed, sent good thoughts, sent cards, and who has just been my friend these past months. I know sometimes I might have sounded stressed or scattered and I apologize for that. I wish you all could have known the special person she was. Someone we talked to today told us that they thought the world of her. That she was always happy and wanted the ones around her to feel that way too. She was/is a joyful spirit. She didn't let her illnesses get her down and she always had a pleasant word for everyone, even until the end.
Thank you again from my whole family. We will never forget your kindness.

Lainey, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. What a gift it must of been to have been raised by someone with such a positive loving attitude like she had.You were most certainly blessed. She may be gone from earth but believe me she will always be with you. Someone as special and as wonderful as she is will never leave your mind or spirit.God Love You and your family.

Lainey,
I'm so sad to hear of your beloved Mother's passing.
I am lucky that I still have my little ole Mama......but I do understand the loss, as Daddy passed four years ago.
This poem has brought comfort to me many, many times. My sis kept it together long enough to read it at Daddy's service.....it has hung on my refrigerator since, and the comfort it brings to me is priceless.
Death is
nothing at all.

I'm so sorry, Lainey. From everything you said about her, we all knew she was special. I was always amazed and humbled by the way she thought of the medical staff and was concerned about them. You are a lot like her. Love and hugs.

Im so very sorry Lainey, It shows how much you loved her and that you will cherish your memories of the good times together. She was a wonderful woman to have raised such a kind and thoughtful daughter. I know you will miss her very much but are glad that she is out of pain. I was the same about my mom when her time came. Bless you and sending hugs and peaceful comforting wishes for your entire family.

Lainey, my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Your mom's spirit shines through you. Be kind to yourself too, dear, that "scattered" thing you're experiencing is the stress of what you've all gone through together. This will get better as life tries to return to a "new normal."
