Dear FarmGirl Sisters, I think it has been a while since I gave you an Aria update. Suffice it to say that she is just AWESOME!!!
This past week she was able to go to school every single day!! This was the first time in 14 months! I was so thrilled. She is feeling great with loads of energy. She really does seem virtually back to 'normal.' I'm amazed. We're still trying to find the right dosing for her chemo so that her blood counts stabilize and I think we are headed in the right direction. Aria has not had to be admitted since the beginning of December, which is huge! She is still taking several medicines a day with a monthly injection of a big gun chemo. We are still having to go to clinic every 2 weeks, but holy smokes, it is all just so good!
I remember so clearly where we were a year ago and we are in such a different place. It is overwhelming and I feel good and oh so hopeful. No doubt, I have my moments of almost crippling fear and despair for those moments are fewer and farther in between. I feel very blessed.
I've been sewing again, trying to make clothes and what-nots for Farm Fair. I sincerely doubt my clothes will sell well...who wants to buy a little girl's dress for 40 or 50 dollars when you can go to Wal-Mart and score something pretty darn adorably for 1/2 that or more. I get it. So I'm also making lots of other more affordable things. Still my garments are lovingly handmade!
The enclosed pictures feature a few. The first is Aria and Rianna having a tea party in Aria's room. I painted that barn on the wall of her closet! FUN! The second picture is a really sweet pant/dress outfit I made. Enjoy!!!
Much love to all of you and thank you for keeping us so close! ~julia

Julia, you are so talented. My goodness, I would so much rather have clothes that are handmade and with such love. And each one so different, not off an assembly line.
Your girls are so cute and having so much fun. I am glad Aria was able to go to school all week. That is a big deal for her and you. I hope ya'll have a great week again this week.

Julia...I wish I knew a little girl.... I would buy your creations in a flash. They are wonderful...I have never seen any vendors in our neck of the woods that do anything comparable to your dresses.
The girls look so sweet!
Take care dear.

Thanks for the Aria update! It warmed my heart to hear it! The feeling your pictures give of the girls is fun, relaxation, warmth and "home." Loved the dress in the background and the wall mural paintings. Tea parties...takes me back a few years but remember those well.
The dresses are very cute so hopefully someone will attend with a happy wallet!

julia i love how you made a farm out of her room and the barn door is great and those who value quality will buy cause walmart clothes seem to come apart faster then others.

You gals are just the BEST!!!
I really didn't mean to 'DIS' Wal-Mart. I have my issues about them and I don't shop there but I can't not help but think of the women and girls working in those factories for a pittance trying to create something lovely. I think they do and I just wish they had the same kind of luxury that I'm able to enjoy!
I have a bunch of of other WAY more affordable things for sale too: Stitchings, fairy blessing bags, napkins etc..etc.. I'm so thrilled about it. The dresses are a labor of love. They are one of a kind for sure...
Thank you for all your positive strokes!! So wonderful..Blessings to you all!! ~j

Julia~your clothes are beautiful!! The girls are so adorable!! It would be so much better to buy from a farmgirl than from Walmart. There are too many Walmart things in this world~it's great to see original beautiful, lovingly made clothes. Ruth

Your girls are so beautiful, and look like they are having" big fun" as my son used to say when he was about three. The clothes you make are beautiful and it is true, farmgirls appreciate the good stuff. And I suspect others do as well. I wish I could fo to Farm Fair, it sounds like such a magical event. I love the painted barn...
So good to hear Aria is doing so well. It certainly has been a harrowing adventure for your family, but the one thing I appreciate about medicine today, is that new things and cures are being discovered all the time. Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures....
