Well, just a big, giant HOORAY for you, Sam!!!!!!!! Cool chair(s) and the price was right! :D It's so great to get nifty stuff for free. One of my favorite feelings. If I wasn't so tired and classe weren't going on, I'd jump up from my desk and go out into the hall and do the Happy Dance with you. HAHA

I went to an auction once and got a brand new clawfoot tub with the shower ring , and all the attachments for $200. I looked it up in Van Dykes Restorers and altogether it is valued at about $3000. It is waiting to go in my bathroom. My hubby grumbles about it because it is on a large dolly in his shop waiting for us to wear out our other tub. I don't care I love it. I will wait but it is not leaving until I move and it goes with me.

Toodles,
Becky

I love your chairs and your doll quilt too. I hear ya on the banking, I hate balancing my checkbook. My New Year's resolution was to keep up on it. So far so good. Great deal on your chairs. They are cute.

Thanks you guys for sharing my joy! Janice are you a teacher? Tell me more...my daughter is a teacher...WE LOVE TEACHERS.....I remember when my kids were in school they used to always say..."Whatever you do MOM....don't ever go into teaching"! LOL! It is a talent, skill and gift that obviously they did not think I possessed! So God Bless you Janice and all teachers!
BEcky...don't EVER let go of that clawfoot! I remember when I first bought my farmhouse in IOwa....it had originally had a clawfoot but they replaced it...get this.....with one of those modular plastic units....OH PLEASE!!! That was SO SAD! But after therapy they said I would be okay! LOL! Good luck on the "balancing act"!
Marian....LOVE your blog!!!! I used to work for Aegon in the U.S., an insurance company based in the Hague (spelling?) plus the Netherlands has some awesome equestrians!!! And there are some great cookies....(some man's name...oh don't tell me I forgot the name of those cookies!?!) that are SO DELICIOUS. I bet they have gobs of delicious confections.
LOve y'all!

Sorry, Sam. I'm the secretary for the Behavioral/Social Science Division at Jefferson Community College in Louisville. That sort of makes me a mom to not only the students, but the professors who need as much care and feeding as children. lol. I have candy dishes, tissues, pens/pencils, phone, directions to everywhere, etc.,etc. I don't know if I ever had the strength and patience to be a teacher. But I'm sure grateful for all the great teachers my son had in school.

Becky - You keep that tub, girl! That's a find of a lifetime!

Janice...my daughter's favorite person in the whole school is the secretary! She's the glue that holds it all together for sure! Yes....those professors are a hoot! They almost need someone to dress them before they go to their classes! I majored in Computer Science with a minor in math and business and Whoa Nellie! Some of those CS and Math professors were "way out there"! Smart but a little strange sometimes! Of course...I think people think I am at times too so I guess I shouldn't point any fingers! LOL!
OH! Do any of you have any hints/advice or instructs on how to shampoo these chairs? I have a carpet shampooer but nothing that does upholstery and I really don't want to hire someone to come in. How do you gals shampoo your upholstered items? Is there a way to do it without hiring someone with a steam machine (which is what I used to do)?

I have never been to a thrift store since there are none close by. Does anyone know if they accept cash only or will they take charge cards? There's a couple of stores a few towns away that I would like to visit soon.

Dawn, The thrift store I go to does accept credit cards. Most of them do. Have fun and if you go 3 times around before you check out is a good thing. My friend Nancy taught me that and she finds real neat stuff. Check out my blog, I had a good day today and I'm still doing the happy dance. Have a Sunnyday..

That almost worked it went to Sunny Days and it had my E-mail address and after I pushed dashboard my profile showed up. How was I suppose to do it?? I am so easily confussed. I put a signature on the bottom that wasn't what I wanted and I am not sure how I did it but someday I'll figure it out.

Have a nice day.

I know....it's confusing! I just started a little while ago so I probably should not be helping anyone or I will REALLY confuse them! LOL!

Yes I figured out how to put pictures on my blog and I just hit favorites on my computer and it comes up. I just have to figure out how to go right to my blog and not to the dashboard and there's a 1/2 site with somethings on that I'm not sure how that happened either. Thank's for trying. I also got to my blog by going to Nancy-Jo blog and clicking on her comments. I write to her more than anyone and then clicking on Sunnydays. It's not a real good blog I have seem some really super ones. It is a lot of fun to talk and look around when I get a chanch to sit. This MJF stuff is way better than t.v.

I clicked on your site and I had already left you a message, I hope if you click on Sunnydays it will take you to my blog if not follow it all the way to my blog at the end and then hit Sunnydays. I hope to figure it out but my grandson who is 2 just fell asleep and I have him until Tuesday so I better sleep when he does. Have a nice day and I think your free chairs will keep you happy feet dancing for a while. May all your days be Sunnydays
