I pulled this out of some of my fav books, yes it is a fav. lol It puts me back on track and reminds me what matters. So easy to get caught up in the material world and living the way you're "expected to". One thing that stuck out is to do a $100 christmas. I always want to do a handmade christmas. I must say I feel like people will think ew she's cheap or ew handmade. I don't know why I care so much. The people I am around are mostly good people and would love if I gave them a stone:) This book really is great and I recommend looking into reading it. xo

That sounds like an awesome book. I feel like the silver lining to what is going on now economically is that mainstream America will start valuing frugality again- honoring the 'thought that counts' in gifting, creating as little waste as possible and appreciating our own handwork much more. Until now that media and most of America have had no incentive to promote handmade and simple. I really like the books Unplug the Christmas Machine and Living Simply with Children- they have some great tips in them as well.
