Hope everything's going alright. No news from her this morning yet, so she must be busy at the moment. I can't wait to hear how things are going. It must be getting closer. I'll be praying as we wait.

i hope all is well. take advantage of the pampering.and enjoy every minute of the newborn experience. violet is lucky to be born in kentucky! the night shift nurses and crew are always less harried and more mellow than day shift! i know because i am a night shift nurse on the peds/nicu units here. one thing i always tell my patients is that if you have any questions for the doc be sure and have them written down because you always forget when they come in for 2 minutes to make rounds. enjoy and its ok to take pain meds. cathy

She is here!!! She is here!!! Violet Mae Lynch, born February 27,2009 at 8:31 p.m. She weighs 7.14 and is 19 3/4 inches long. She has the softest dark hair, and her daddy's beautiful long fingers (and his "hawk" toes!!!!) After a long day of labor, and nothing happening (at 7:30, I was still 3-4 cm), the doc suggested we strongly think about a c-section because he felt swelling around her little head, and my bp was not going down. I had been thinking that's where we'd end up all day, anyway, and had made my peace with it. Other than being ill a couple of times because of the anathesia, I made it through just fine. Daddy, too :)
First off, pics, though not the best--but I so wanted to introduce her to her farmgirl sisters! Her Grandpapa took a slew of them last night, so I will have much better ones this evening...
Proud Papa and his little gal:

The scale:

The "motley crew"--happy daddy, "still out of it mommy" (with warm blankets piled high to fight the shivers from all the anathesia), our very cool Doctor, and the nicest anathesiologist on the planet, Kevin, far left.

Thank you, you wonderful women, for all your hopes, prayers and good wishes to me, Jus and little Violet Mae. You don't know what light your posts made, when things seemed a little impossible on my end. Just knowing that each of you had experienced the very thing that we were experiencing truly reminds me of our sisterhood. Violet and I are very lucky girls, as are we all here on the MJ forum...
Love, the Lynch family
