To all of my pen pals I'm sorry I haven't written lately. I just got too busy and need to slow down and get back in the groove. I think I bit off more than I can handle with taking care of my great granddaughter. I can hardly pick her up and walk, so I've tried to tell them this can not be a full time thing. Today I'm letting great grandpa do most of the taking care of, I do change the diapers but I'm taking it easy today. But I will get to the letters soon.

YAY!! Just finished letters too...... Marly, Megan, Rae, Toni, Robin, Amy, Caitlin, Emilie, Denise, Betty Jo. Marlene, Cynthia, and Jennifer. They will be mailed tomorrow or Monday.

I love writing letters!! I am an artist in my 40's ... I also love to knit & spin wool. I have a passion for dogs ... I live with my husband & 2 rescue dogs (Jaeger & Moonshine). Our parrot, Kiwi - rules the roost!

I want a pen friend too! I'm a military wife living in Georgia keeping the home fires burning for my hubby who's serving in Afghanistan for the next year or so. I've got 2 great kids and a fur-daughter-my rotten dauchshund. I want more in my mail box than just bills! Please PM me.

Given that my friends joke about my "novels and or epistles" when I write to them "snail mail" fashion, I'd have to say that I love writing too. I love that you started this topic Kelly. If anyone would be interested, I'd love to exchange info. I'm not sure if my email shows up but it's eforestdragon@yahoo.com. Thank you (to anyone) for thinking of me ahead of time.
A brief bit about me: I'm a 41 yr old single mom, two kids (one of each-19 & 15ish). I moved my family from WA state in 2000 to PA looking to start over. I've been a lumber mill worker, sawyer, waittress, consession worker, medical lab processor, phlebotomist, transcriptionist, and now a social outreach assistant and CCD secretary and I'm looking for a home job to supplement my income. I've always had a deep yearning for a farmhouse with a wrap around porch and a couple acres, to learn to do all types of needlework,gardening and preserving, and (to keep it short) well pretty much what I see so many of you enjoying through your daily lives and I find inspiration in that.
I also agree that, although technology allows us to communicate faster, there is nothing so exciting or heartfelt as receiving a handwritten letter from someone. I think that speaks to how much someone means to us if we sit down and make the time to say what we feel, even if it's just "hey how are you, the weather's good, what's for supper".
