Has anyone embroidered on a handkerchief? It was in an issue of MJF. I started on one for my niece for her birthday. It will take some time, but it really is turning out nice!

I'm working on napkins for my 2 dd's hope chests right now. It has been time consuming for me since the stitches are so tiny.

I'd like to find some decent handkerchiefs to do. Did you use new or vintage?

I have never embroidered on a hankie, but my aunt has made some beautiful ones for weddings, for the bride.

I meant to say a red man's handkerchief. It is in issue, Oct. Nov. 2008, of MJF.

I'll have to dig out that issue and take a look.

I do it quite often and love them...very portable and a fun gift. I don't have one that I have kept. I like to use one strand sometimes and do really delicate ones. I have done several with just a simple little cow or chicken.

Michele,
I thought that handkerchief looked so nice and fun to make. Post pics when you finish if you can. I would love to see it.

Michele, I'm sure your niece will love her handkerchief. Be sure to post a picture of it when you are done!
