Clowns here too. I can't believe there are so many of us that don't like (fear) clowns. Of course, I'm with you all on snakes, mice, spiders and bugs.

I honestly can't say other than from an early age, they scared the living poop out of me! Mom and daddy took me to the circus and one got in my face, and that was all she wrote!

Even a few years ago, I went to an outdoor haunted house and this wagon dropped us off in the middle of a field. I was with a group of people, and we all walked into this clearing, with a strobe light and.....a maniacal looking clown. He didn't say anything, just tried to intimidate you with body language. Well, my friends moved on because I was PETRIFIED. I could NOT make my feet move...and he knew it, so he took advantage of being right in my face and my space. So, after warning him three times to move (because I couldn't), I kicked him right hard in the shin and took off running!!!!! I didn't look back, but one of my friends said, "oh! She just nailed that clown!!!"

I freak out when I find a pubic hair on the soap. I've helped with birthing animals and a little hair can freak me out...go figure....

People who are drunk/on drugs/mentally ill. It's all kind of the same thing.

Bears.

Mold. I was eating a slice of bread with peanut butter once when I was little, and I turned it over and saw...big rings of mold all over the backside of the slice of bread. Makes my stomach turn over just remembering.

Cheryl, don't know why clowns bother me. First, I don't think they are funny. My granddaughter is the same way. There was a Twilight Zone TV show years ago that had a clown marrionett that scared the heck out of me. Some reason it makes more sence to me than VELVET Julie!!??

Mine is clowns too or anyone who "hides" behind that type of makeup, costume. Mimes are another that I rank up there with clowns. The only time it's OK to look like that is Halloween!

Also spiders inside my house. I don't mind them outside but I figure the ones on the inside will eventual start crawling on me. Ewww! They get smushed the minute if see them! Or if they're too big I get DH to get them!

Hmmm..... the creeps. Certain people do for sure. The obvious is spiders/snakes. A snake will startle me and then I'm all for a closer look... not to close though. I dont like glass dolls, like the old porcelin ones with the eyes that roll...shudder. I'm fine with prim/rag dolls but most dolls weird me out.

Oh, I am so glad to hear that Miss Violet won't be having clowns at her birthday party!! I'm not sure why they freak me out, just that you don't know what kind of person is hiding behind that make-up, and that I don't find them funny at all, and alot of them won't leave you alone until they get a response out of you.

The hair on the soap, yep, this morning in the shower I saw some and thought "oh nasty!" and knew I would be adding it to my list!

I love hearing everyone else's creepy stuff!

Oh Sue! I had a sanke in MY house once too! And, like you're story, our cat held the slithery little creature at bay!!! He came in through the water cooler one VERY HOT summer day. It was just a tiny little water snake-- and normally I'm not afraid of snakes. I just don't like them IN MY HOUSE!!

What I'm REALLY afraid of-- and you are all gonna just die laughing-- are those POP open Bisquit (SP?) containers. Yes, I HATE them! I cannot, for the life of me, open one!!! My boys think it's so funny. My oldest son likes to chase me around the house with them just before he POPS one open. eeeeewwwwww!!!!!! Can't stand them!!!! Other than that, nothing else really bothers me. Except maybe the textures of some foods. Oatmeal makes me GAG!! and I can't eat anything HAIRY! (Peach skin, green beans etc....)

This is a great topic. I hate centipedes and millipedes. We used to live in Hawaii where they crawl into shoes and pockets!!!! Just thinking about it gives me the creeps. Also I'm not much of a basement person, especially the old ones like I have! I can't imagine people thinking bugs are cute! I like bees and butterflies but that's it!

I can't stand a loose piece of hair on any surface....and especially in my food! I'll throw the food out and get rid of the surface hair as soon as possible. It makes me gag. Small spiders I don't mind, but wolf spiders that move fast are creepy. Have you every seen a picture of a 'camel' spider on the internet? I'm not sure if they're real or an urban legend, but they're from the Middle East and are huge! Much bigger than a tarantula with super long legs. Can you imagine being in a tent in the desert and having one of those things crawling in?? I would literally die on the spot!

Please don't lump mentally ill with abusers. It is different. But your creeps are your creeps.

People who still don't wash their hands creep me out! The guy stocking the shelves at the store with a cold, wiping his nose like a preschooler, come on? Hearing someone leave the bathroom without the sink running. gag. Makes me understand OCD, or agoraphobia a bit...where's my sanitizer? ick ick ick.

In defense of preschoolers, many of them have great manners. I've only seen the full frontal hand wipe up the nose snot slider on sit-coms until this guy. Eeeeew! Talk about another reason to grow my own food!

Good Morning FarmGals! So guess what happened...

When the mail came Thursday, the Mail Lady brought a small box to our door step. DH brought it in and set it on the kitchen counter. It was a box for my DH's 20yr old son. [Who still hasn't had his mail sent to his own address aat his apartment,... but that's ok]. I looked at the box myself and it was addressedd to Jake [DH's son] and the return address was somewhere in CA. OK no big deal right?!?! ......DH had called DS to let him know something arrived for him, he said he would come get it. Well, yesterday afternoon rolled around, DS called me to say he was coming to get it. I said ok. Then he said, "Whatever you do Jamie...DON'T OPEN IT!" Of course, I had to ask why? Then he told me....THE BOX WAS FULL OF LIVE COCKROACHES!!!!!! He bought them and had them shipped to feed to his lizards! I immediately picked up the box and shook it. Then I put my ear to it and listened, sure enough, there were bugs in the dang box! AND IT SAT ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER FOR A WHOLE DAY!!!!! UGH! YUCK EWWY GROSS!!!

Needless to say, the box when outside into the garage for the remainder of time it was at our house.....The whole ordeal made my skin crawl...COCKROACHES GIVE ME THE CREEPS!!!

Lily, I'm going to be watching for that.

Mary Jane...you are kidding, right? I mean, they can't really climb, can they? I'm getting all creeped out just at the thought that they could reach me and run across my feet! ahhhhhhhh

Ok, gotta move on so I can sit still here. I'm the same about the hair/hairbrush/hairband/hat on the table; or ANYWHERE in the kitchen, for that matter. And for cryin' out loud, don't brush the dog in the kitchen, either! Ick

I hate clowns too. I think it stems from the fact that my babysitter made me watch Stephen Kings IT when I was 9.
