I use Coconut oil for my skin cream(hands and face), all natural and not any chemicals(which I am highly allergic to)......It takes very little and goes a long way.....

Sounds good to me...If it doesn't harm your skin and works, it is a great idea. How does your skin feel afterwards (oily? or not)

I love the way coconut oil makes my skin feel. It dissapears fast in the skin and after you use it for a while you can tell your skin is softer. I keep the jar on the old fashioned radiator in the bathroom which keeps it liquid.

I use it too. I was just reading last night that it has properties that help prevent and reverse skin cancer. Amazing! I like mine mixed with a few drops of lavender oil...the scents smell nice together.

you can also cook w/ it

it's a very mild tasting kind of oil ans epecially tasty on toast

melting temp is something like 75 degrees

may have to try it on my dry hands too

I think the unrefined virgin organic stuff is the better choice

it's expensive depending on where its purchased but worth it

Unrefined virgin coconut oil is wonderful for your skin. It smells fabulous too - just like coconut. Regular is good too and melts at 76 degrees. Some people can have an adverse reaction to coconut oil. I quit using it in my soap because so many people get itchy from it. But I still use it in other things. I feel like anything you use on your skin that is natural is better than stuff bought at the store that is loaded with chemicals!

Coconut oil is wonderful for the skin and hair! Olive oil is amazing, also. Gotta love just going back to basic stuff!

Okay....I have a "not so smart" question.....as opposed to a "stupid question. Are you talking about coconut oil that you can buy at the health food store....like in the food section? I do use olive oil on my skin.....like on Saturday, when I'm cleaning house I'll put it on my face....and hair, and after my shower my skin is soft and my hair is soft and shiney. But back to the coconut oil..........tell me what kind to buy.
Thanks, Kate
