For those of you with a Savers in the neighborhood (www.savers.com) -- they're having a 50% off used merchandise sale tomorrow, Monday, February 16 for a very brief window -- from 8am to 9am. I'm going to run on down and snag a bureau I've had my eye on! Plus I've been collecting tea cups for a Bridal Tea/Shower that I'm planning for my sister this summer (goal: no disposables!) I'm going to be one of those freaky-deakies standing outside with my nose pressed against the window! See you there! Viva Frugalité! Viva Recyclage!

Too bad I missed this one. I love shopping at Savers. I had a bridal shower for my daughter and purchased china salad size plates for several months before at thrift stores. It was so nice to have fancy dishes and all the different patterns made it so much fun. Now I'm all set for the next shower. Hope you got the bureau you wanted. Good job for not using disposables. Isn't it so much fun to find treasures at a thrift store.

Hey Kristin!
I did get my dresser. I tied that sucker to the roof of my car and drove it home for $22.50 -- woo hoo!!!!

I was going to paint it in a white, shabby chic kind of way, but I kind of like the veneer -- after I lemon-oiled it up.

I also got a bunch of cups and saucers and teaspoons for the shower. Savers has a card now where you get a stamp for every $5 you spend or when you donate and then after 15 stamps you get 30% off your next purchase. Check it out!
