Doug and I went shopping for dinner after I picked him up from work for the ingredients to a dish we saw Gordon Ramsey make on his "The F Word" show. Doug kind of botched it, but it was still really good. We had a glass of wine and watched some shows on TV together. We even did a little house work and then after Nora went to bed we sat and use the cable box as a Karaoke machine. It was hilarious. Doug is a great singer so he did fine...me...well my voice is really out of shape and my ears are plugged so I didn't do so great. LOL But it was so much fun and I slept so well!

Good for you guys. That sounds like such a nice evening for you. One question...how do you use the cable box as a karaoke machine?

Clay &I had a quiet evening as well, a light dinner of fresh crab salads & fresh out of the oven, Mary Jane sourdough bread, and a glass of Bridgeport pale ale for me & non alcoholic beer for him. We watched a great movie that we rented from Blockbusters "Bonneville" with Kathy Bates & Jessic Lange two of our favorite actors.

I had a great V-Day also! My daughter sent me a surprise package filled with books, a beautiful pair of marcasite earrings, a cob of popping corn, hand-warmers for the next ice storm! LOL!, some gourmet hot cocoa, tea, a beautiful Thomas Kincaid mug and homemade chocolate chip cookies! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! It was just delightful and one of the best Valentine Days I can remember.

I found a 4 star hotel on one of those deal websites for $30. So, we had a nice cheap night away in the big city. We had a gift card for Red Lobster that we used for a yummy dinner. And then we still had some gift cards from the wedding that we spent on fun things at REI and Cabela's. So, we had a cheap but great weekend.

Lisa- The cable box has an option in the "On Demand" screen in this area that has lots of songs. It plays the music and highlights the words as you are supposed to sing them. It was fun!
