Ok so this isn't exactly a "Barnyard Buddy",,,but we use to have fun feeding the Scrub Jays when we lived in Moorpark, California....they were really very friendly & LOVED peanuts....so much so that "Scrubs" as we called him, would 'knock' on my kitchen Garden Window to let me know he wants a peanut!!!lol!

I miss all my Jays, but thank goodness our neighbors on the
Cul-d-sac enjoyed feeding the Jays too.

Grace, that's a good picture. And I think it qualifies as a barnyard buddy. We have tons of birds that eat chicken feed and are all over the pasture out there. So I consider them buddies. That bird looks even friendlier than a chicken.

So if you can't have chickens, birds are the next best thing. Too bad you couldn't eat the eggs, though!

hahaha! it would take quit a few eggs to whip up an Omelette & would probablly have a peanutty taste! lol!

oh & the tree in the left corner is my Avacado that I started from a seed about 12 years ago,,,and it started producing that year...the little tree behind my DH is an Almond in it's 8th year & it produces like crazy,,,just ask the Scrubs....they nearly pick it clean! lol!
