Where is everyone putting their mother starter? I was keeping mine on the counter in the kitchen but I dont keep my heater on more than mid 60's, (I am woman in my late 40's, need I say more) even lower to 59 at night. I read that the place should be 65-70 and I am sure I am not that hot in the house,so how should I keep it warm?

How about in your oven. No draft and it will stay somewhat warm.

Diana

Just remember to take it out when you turn on the oven.

My house stays around 60-63 during the day and at night. The only time we run the heat is in the afternoon when we get home until bedtime. I'm keeping mine on the counter with no problem. If I put it in the oven I would forget and preheat my oven with it in there!

Mine is on my stove right now. And it's only about 65 or so in there when I'm not cooking. When it was real cold I had her in the living room near the fireplace. But it seems to be fine in the kitchen. I checked it about an hour ago and it's bubblin' away in there.

Kim, I'm with you on the heat thing. My husband is the cold one and always wants the heat up. I just tell him to put on another shirt or get a blanket. If momma ain't happy....

I'm keeping mine on top of my microwave and it's doing just fine. I never have the heat above 65 degrees and even lower at night, same as you. It's going along fine so far...starting to get a bit odiferous even! Tomorrow she gets to rest. I just started last Sunday.

Well she is bubbling, and she has 'that' smell to her, so I guess she is ok, right?

Sounds good. Another idea is to stand near your mother while having a "warm spell"--just don't accidentally bake her.
