I took all my button jars off the shelve and then put a lot of them in differnt jars, oh yes, I also dusted the shelves.
My Oldest daughter was pretty sure I needed a nice butterball turkey to cook for Sunday Dinner tomorrow with all the trimmings, so she sent the turkey over and said they would be here on Sunday around four. Am I missing something here.

Uh, yeah!! That sounds just like my kids except without the turkey. They just come to eat. Sounds like fun, though.

I love your new picture banner at the top of your blog? The cherry apron is too cute!SO retro! Is that a picture you took?
You are inspiring. If I dusted around here too often, nothing would match anymore. Better just to leave it til I get in the new house..hehe

Tuesday nights I give art lessons after work and my husband has Chess club practice. It is always a late evening and we are starving when we get home. I always buy some meat for my MIL and she usually has dinner ready for us when we get home!!! I cook for her 2-3 other times per week so I think it is a fair trade!

Families that eat together...stay together.. Thats what makes it FAMILY! I wish mine lived closer. When My kids were little we met with the other sisters & brothers & families at the F&MIL for dinner every Sunday. ( It was expected) My children have great family memories of these times.

You should have told your daughter that you needed help fixin the turkey Ha.
Love turkey fresh ouut of the oven.
I brought one of those huge Nessco cookers. I use every thanksgiving.
I can't lift them out of the oven anymore.
They turn out yummy every time.

Now that my daughter has three children, and for several Saturdays now, her hubby has had meetings at the church, we have been spoiled by having her and the kids with us almost all day. I love it! Today, we baked brownies, and played outside (it was beautiful out) and hubby washed and cleaned her van, and I held the new little baby boy for 2 hours......we sat on the back porch and talked and just hung out. The kids watched Curious George and played with a neighbor girl....we even had a big discussion on the type of ceramic bowl to begin our "mother" bread starter in. I have a set of bowls I got in 1968, those type that nestle....they are yellow gold, and now I see them in antique shops!!!! What is up with that? Anyway, we decided to use those for the starter....I am rambling here, but it was that kind of day, a rambling, nice, comfortable time with my kids, and I loved every second.
Enjoy that turkey, NAncy Jo. I am sure no one can bake it for the kids like you can!
