Rene' (prosserfarmgirl) posted about this under Keeping In Touch. If this is something that you feel strongly about, make your voice heard by end-of-business this Friday.
Here's the key line: "USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has given preliminary approval to Event 98140 corn, the first of a new generation of pesticide-promoting, genetically engineered (GE) crops designed to survive spraying with multiple herbicides." Or if they're thinking about this at all. It's like they've never heard the definition of insanity. They just keep doing the same thing expecting different results - DUH!
