Hello Ladies..well, it's that time of year....I ordered my seeds for my greenhouse..only $200.00 worth, everything from veggies(all organic),,,to petunias, dichondra, alyssum, geraniums(cuttings)...ice plant...and many, many others..wish you were all close to come and see. My greenhouse is 20' by 40'..now for DH to get my furnace in it.... Any suggestions for anything in a greenhouse is appreciated...I am listening ................. fertilizer? seed starting mix? watering? heating? I'd love to hear from ya!

What is on the floor of your greenhouse? My mom put sand in hers to keep the slugs out. A fan is helpful in keeping fungus at bay.

For seed starting mix, the one I've had the best results for in the last few years was of my own making. Good compost from the store (i.e. sterilized with no buggies), fluffed peat moss and a handful of perlite until I get the consistency I want. My seedlings much preferred that over the soggy Black Gold Seedling mix or awful potting soil of years past.
As for watering, since my production's a bit smaller than yours, I just use a leftover peri bottle. I can aim really well, not water the leaves, and easy to use/sterilize.
