lol....teresa sue, I just love you!!! so funny!!!! Grace.....urggg!! I can not find any cute cherry material! And, of course, I have to live an hour from the nearest "big town" that has anything other than a wallyworld! I mean, yeah, I could do the ME cherry material that they sell, but I really want something a little brighter and lighter than a black background!!! but, thn again my baby is going to be such a hodge podge on the inside that it really doesn't matter!! I am kicking myself right now for not getting this set of 3 Ball flip top glass canister jars that had strawberries all over them this weekend at a GS, because she only wanted 75 cents apeice for them....they would have been perfect for my coffee, creamer, and sugar in my trailer!! Oh, well.....I'll go check out your curtains right now!!! |

hey Kelly, check out www.equilter.com they have a huge assortment of fabrics....if nothing else but to give you some ideas. Also checkout www.mariemadelinestudio.com or www.susanbranch.com hopefully one of these 3 will have the perfect fabric. You can print out a sample of the fabric you like & write the designers name(especially if it is a designer name) and maybe with that in hand, when you get to Wally World or an large fabric they might be able to order it for you...'course having a 40-50% off coupon really helps! lol! If you want to save on fabric, rather than gather the fabric, use less and either add Gromets or sew button holes to run your rod through. One of the gal's from my group did minimal sewing & hole punched the top and ran trips of leather shoe laces through the holes, tire the laces together and ran a rod though....it was actually really cute looking. She used a Bandana/cowhide theme fabric for her curtains, pillows etc....Oh & one one of the other ladies, I think it was MaryJane Lee, who had trimmed out her windows w/Birch Branches cut in half lenght wise...So have fun going crazy decorating your trailer. I know I am/will! lol!

Kelly, I didn't forget about getting you the pics of my cherry "stuff". The weather has been so cold here that I haven't been able to get to the attic of our shop. Hopefully I can get to it this week. Could you e-mail me your address? I would like to send you a little something cherry!

Hey Sherone, Check out some of the Vintage Trailer & Canned Ham forums....they are great about sharing "repair tips". We checked out Home Depot & Lowes & the ones out here do not carry the 1/8" thin sheeting...but we did find a place in Spokane Valley that carries Ash/Oak/Pine/Birch & Mahogany 1/8" wood in 4x8 ft sheets. ranging from $15 to $40 a panal/sheet. Go figure we are replacing the origional Birch with new Birch at $20.99 a sheet/panal...Oaks was much cheaper but my hub's want's to stay with the origional type of wood. Check out you local Yellow Pages/Phone Directory and look up Wood products ot Wood/Lumber...you might just be surprized... We did check the internet & found lots of resources but they are out of the area & it would cost a bloody fortune to ship. Thank goodness we found a supplier less than 20 min away. p.s....sent you an email....

I will. I just ordered two new propane tanks and am looking for a cover to go on them. Now that the snow is going away, we are going to pull it over to the shop to begin work on the outside. There is quite a bit of trim that needs to be repalced and several smal dents that need to be banged out. DH is going to play a big part oin all that. In the meantime, I am on the look-out for some remmant Pergo flooring and just the right fabrics for the curtains and upholstery.
